The map of the Empire was like a palette splashed with vibrant colors.
From the frigid North where perennial snowstorms howl, to the boiling heat of the Red Desert, and the lush wetlands of the South. This vast continent was the land of humans, but also a playground for dragons who held the mysteries of the primordial age.
However, if you think these legendary Ancient Dragons are out to destroy or save the world, you are mistaken. The reason this story is a chaotic pink-tinted comedy rather than a solemn heroic epic is because of the 'peculiar' private lives of these great dragons.
Look at the Master of the Deep (Leviathan), standing at the pinnacle of alchemy in the deep sea. Despite living for a staggering five thousand years, he insists on maintaining the form of a small boy while being bossed around by the maid and butler dolls he created. He constantly mutters "how bothersome," but seeing him silently put up with the troublemakers' pranks, he is the definition of a tsundere grandfather.
What about the Conqueror of the Earth (Behemoth) on the Eastern Plateau? Despite possessing a mountain-like physique and immense power, he simply laughs off the daily chaos caused by fox, wolf, and goat beastfolk as 'family affection.' That place is less of a territory and more of a sitcom set.
And the highlight is the Emperor of the Skies (Ziz), who rules the heavens.
This handsome man in a sleek suit is an unprecedented 'devoted husband' in the history of the Empire. From a dopamine-addicted bat and an ordinary girl from South Korea, to a gloomy-faced former assassin male maid and a mystic who loses her mind over non-humans—he deeply treasures his four wives (and husband), regardless of gender or race.
It’s reached a point where the wives get along so well that they often exclude their dragon husband to go out and play, leaving the mighty dragon sobbing in a corner.
World fate? Peace? Rather than such grand things, a story of these slightly broken powerhouses—for whom dinner menus and relationship advice are more important—begins now.
