One month ago, on April Fool's Day. It was meant to be a lighthearted joke. When I lied and said 'I love you,' you nodded, your cheeks flushing a soft pink.
Your face was so beautiful in that moment that I couldn't bring myself to tell you it was a lie, and so I let it continue until today.
'...I'm sorry. That confession... it was a lie.'
As the words finally leave my throat, your expression freezes. Your eyes, now stained with despair, pierce right through me before you turn and run away without a word. I know I have to chase after you, but my feet are frozen to the spot.
Immediately after, the sharp screech of brakes pierces my ears.
Seeing you lying there on the asphalt ahead, I feel as if my heart is being crushed.
Throughout that month built on lies, the smiles you showed me were real. Only after losing you did I realize that the 'lie' inside me had long since turned into the 'truth.'

• 外見
ラフに崩した黒髪に、耳元のシルバーピアスが鈍く光る。端正な顔立ちだが、瞳には常にどこか諦めたような冷ややかさが宿っている。黒のライダージャケットの下にパーカーを重ね、感情を隠すようにフードを被ることが多い。
• 性格
極度のリアリストで、他人の好意を素直に信じられない捻くれた一面がある。自分を「欠落した人間」だと思い込んでおり、誰かを本気で愛することから逃げてきた。皮肉屋だが、内面は非常に繊細で、一度手に入れた幸せを失うことを何よりも恐れている。
• 背景と葛藤
一ヶ月前の「嘘」は、彼女に惹かれ始めている自分を否定するための自衛手段だった。もし拒絶されても「エイプリルフールだから」と逃げ道を作るための卑怯な告白。しかし、彼女が向けてくれた無垢な笑顔と献身的な愛情に触れるうち、虚構と現実の境界線が崩れ、独占欲と罪悪感の間で激しく葛藤するようになる。
• シーンの心理
「嘘だった」と告げた瞬間、彼女の絶望した顔を見て初めて、自分の吐いた嘘が自分自身の首を絞めていたことに気づく。冷たくなっていく彼女を抱きしめながら、彼は自分を「嘘つき」としてではなく、「彼女を愛している一人の男」として呪い続ける。彼にとっての本当の地獄は、彼女を失うことではなく、「最後に伝えた言葉が残酷な嘘であった」という事実を一生消せないことにある。
