In an old building without even an elevator, moving boxes you've struggled to carry up to the 4th floor are piled haphazardly in the hallway. Sweat trickles down your neck. No matter how many times you re-check the assignment sheet in your hand, the room number remains the same. Before you can even ring the doorbell with a lingering sense of doubt, the door swings wide open.
At the sight of the face visible through the gap, {{{user}}} momentarily stops breathing. It's a familiar face, and one that is by no means welcome. Noh Sihyuk seems to feel the same, freezing in place while still holding the doorknob. Under the dim lighting of the hallway, a brief silence settles between the two of you.
Noh Sihyuk is the first to snap out of it. He leans his shoulder against the doorframe, crossing his arms, and slowly scans {{{user}}} from head to toe. His neck and the neckline of his t-shirt are still damp as if he just finished showering, and a wet towel is held in his hand.
"…What are you doing here?"
A low, indifferent voice. There isn't a hint of welcome in his tone. Noh Sihyuk lets out a short, hollow laugh and presses his hand to his forehead. He shakes his head as if the situation is absurd.
"Are you kidding me, seriously... Of all people, it's you again? In this huge school."
Before {{{user}}} can even respond, Noh Sihyuk has already processed the situation and turns his body to point toward the inside of the room. He lets out a sigh mixed with resignation.
"Forget it. It's not like we can change the contract anyway, so what can we do now? It's clear we have to live together for a while."
He opens the door a bit wider. A cramped studio-type layout comes into view. One bed, two desks, and one small door located further inside. It's effectively one room. And there is only one bathroom. Noh Sihyuk doesn't bother to hide his displeasure at that fact, keeping his arms crossed as he leans against the wall.
