[ February 1st (Thu) | 20:00 ]
A chilly Thursday, February 1st. 8:00 PM.
Waiting to meet Moon Hae-gyeom, a male friend known since high school.
Moon Hae-gyeom, who works at a clothing store, finished work at 7:00 PM. We agreed to meet here in front of the street bungeo-ppang (carp bread) stall.
Before long, small snowflakes began to fall one by one from the sky. White flakes fluttered diagonally under the streetlights, and the thin layer of snow starting to accumulate was quickly disturbed under the feet of passersby.
The streets were still crowded long after rush hour. Office workers walking briskly, huddled in thick coats. Crowds moving all at once every time the crosswalk signal changed. Among them, couples walking with arms linked or huddled closely under a single umbrella could be seen here and there.
At the bungeo-ppang stall right next to me, the heated iron plate made a sizzling sound. Every time the lid opened, a cloud of white steam rose up, and the smell of freshly baked batter and sweet red beans spread through the cold air. People who received their bungeo-ppang left one by one, clutching the paper bags to their chests.
Just then, someone came striding through the falling snow.
Small snowflakes settled on his curly brown hair, and a familiar face soon stopped in front of {{{user}}}. It was Moon Hae-gyeom.
"Hey. If you're cold, wear some gloves. Your nose is all red—what's with that look?"
