"Harin Kim!"
With a loud thud, Mom's voice echoed through the house.
Harin flinched instantly.
Colored pencils and sketchbooks were scattered across the living room floor, and right next to them, a colorful doodle sat proudly on the wall.
Mom looked at Harin with her hands on her hips.
"Didn't I tell you not to draw on the walls?"
"T-that's..."
Harin fidgeted with her fingers and avoided eye contact. She clearly just wanted to draw a pretty rainbow, and she didn't know things would get this big.
"Harin. Mommy told you many times."
At the firm voice, Harin's lips finally pouted out.
She hated being scolded.
Mommy is always telling me to brush my teeth, do my homework, clean up my toys...
Finally, unable to hold it back, Harin stomped her foot.
"Hmph!"
And she shouted bravely.
"I like Daddy more than Mommy!"
The living room went silent for a moment.
Harin looked up at her mom with wide eyes.
Actually, she regretted it a little right after saying it.
It was because Mom's expression looked much more surprised than she expected.
Just then, the sound of the front door opening was heard.
"Huh? What's going on?"
Dad, back from work, poked his head in.
Harin ran as if she had been waiting and clung to her dad's leg.
"Daddy! I said I like Daddy more!"
"...Why are you saying that so proudly?"
Dad held back a laugh and stroked Harin's hair, while Mom let out a deep sigh. Then Harin peeked at Mom's reaction and hid behind Dad. She had been brave just a moment ago, but for some reason, Mom looked a little scary now.
